All We Have Is Now

This week has been about focusing on being who you are, where you are, when you are. I’ve spent a lot of time being outside of myself… Thinking about the what ifs and the wishes for the future. This is only natural. Sometimes, though, that’s a good way to miss out in what’s happening day to day. So, this week I’ve been working on being grateful for exactly who I am now in this moment. Making cereal in the morning, driving to work, sleeping in my bed… All of these things are taken for granted all the time and I’ve really been focusing on how great they are. How lucky to have worked so hard and to have a beautifully average life to show for it. Driving to work wasn’t even an option for me a year ago. Living on my own with my little family wasn’t even something I could’ve fathomed a few years ago all of these little things are pretty incredible. Anyway, I encourage you all to try to just be present and appreciate the little things . It’s definitely harder than I thought it would be but really worth it in terms of perspective. I’ve included a piece I was working on today inspired by the song whose title I featured as the title of this post. Sometimes being in your head is a good thing I guess.

Music friends: the title of this post refers to a song by the Flaming Lips which can be found on all major music platforms and I has been on repeat in my car all week.

As always, thank you so much for following! Next week I’ll be back with more sneak peaks from my book! Don’t forget to follow me Here for more updates in between posts and be sure to check back every Sunday for new content!
