Greetings from Fresno friends!!
My Valentine’s Day/ Presidents’ Day weekend has been so eventful! Though there hasn’t been much down time for drawing, I am soaking up all this inspiration like a sponge! I took a road trip up to see my Grandma and my cousins for the first time in years, and my heart is just so full of love.
Yesterday I spent all day with grandma. She took me on a tour around her little town. It was great to hear stories about my family and see where my dad grew up.
Today I went to Yosemite and was left completely in awe. There is nothing like the clarity you get from being a part of something greater than yourself. Yosemite can make you feel small in the best way possible. Sometimes when I get too far into a project there can be a lot of doubt and frustration with small details. I can tell you, the cure to this is to put yourself right in the middle of some big ass trees. I only saw a small portion but was able to hike part of chilnualna falls trail and see the mariposa giant sequoias. Amazing! I’m heading home tomorrow and I can’t wait to put all this inspiration to good use!
Music friends: the title refers to my very favorite song by Modest Mouse which can be found and purchased on all the major music platforms!
As always, thank you all so much for following! I’ve noticed a few new people in the past week or so…welcome! Be on the lookout every Sunday for updates of what I’m up to. More sketches and inks next week!
