As deadlines approach and progress is made, my latest project is all-consuming. I am somewhere between extremely stressed about how and when to finish between two jobs and extremely stoked on how much is done. If 2014 has taught me anything so far, it is that if you are creative in your heart and soul, make time to be who you are. Of course we all have “real life” to worry about but wouldn’t it be great if just once you were too busy because you’re doing what you want to do? The answer, I’ve found, is yes.
So, sure, sleep has been limited and my angst-ridden teenage years are making a slight comeback a la Bright Eyes (who are we kidding, I never stopped listening to Bright Eyes) but I have loved every step in this process. I am so grateful to have been given such a cool opportunity by my dear friend. I only wish I could share more than vague progress pictures with all of you! Stick with me though, the finished product will be worth it. Until then, I hope to continue to hear from you all!
Music friends: the title refers to lyrics from “Jejune Stars” by Bright Eyes which you can find on their album The People’s Key
As always, thank you for your support!
